Queen & Oak Weddings is a wedding planning practice built on a simple belief: the best planner is the one you barely notice on your wedding day. The timeline holds. The vendors are confirmed. The candles are lit. And you, the two people the whole day is actually about, are free to be fully present in it.

The company is led personally by owner John Kelly. John came to weddings from a career spent coordinating complex, high-stakes projects and leading delivery teams, the kind of work where the plan, the timeline, and the calm point of contact are everything. Planning his own wedding made the connection obvious: a wedding is the most emotionally important logistics project most people will ever run, and almost no one should have to run it alone on the day itself.

We're a true two-market practice, not a Charlotte planner who will “also do” Raleigh or the reverse. We maintain a vetted vendor network in both metros, from uptown lofts and historic mansions to hundred-acre farms, and we've built our whole operating model around serving couples across the I-85 corridor.

What working with us feels like: over-prepared and under-dramatic. We ask the questions no one thinks of in month two so there are no surprises in week one. We put everything in writing. We're the first ones in and the last ones out. And we think a rain plan you never need is the best money-back guarantee in the business.
